Moved!

Well, we moved!  Hallelujah!  It was hard and I don't want to go thru that again.  

Glad to be here in Centreville.  I'm at the Library, Nottawa Twp Libry.  My friend BK works here.  

Paul is thrilled with his garage and his woodstove in the house.  He has a woodstove in the garage too, he needs to hook up the stove pipe to.  And to insulate the pipe so nobody gets burned.  

Woodstoves are a lot of work.  However, it keeps the house warm.  the first room, or family room, has a breezeway (actually 2 if you count the pantry hallway to kitchen), and it gets cold.  

Paul is letting me have my drafting table in the dining room.  We don't have a table and chairs for the dining room or the family room.  

yet.   I will go to Habitat and get some furniture one of these days.  

the van is working again now that Paul got his Koehler 1/2 a tractor out of there.  

I went to LH's about 3 x this week, maybe 4 x.  I was sooo tired Wed. nite I couldn't go back until the next morning to pick up potatoes she made me for my birthday.  

I had a very nice birthday.  I'm shopping now for a new mattress. Art Van has black Fri sales.  

Paul and I went to Goodwill in Sturgis to see furniture, and there were 5.00 chairs and a recliner for 25.00 and a loveseat for 30.00, and a 20.00 cubicle thingy which could go over desk. 

When we were leaving there, Paul noticed a nail in our tire.  We went to Bolands tire in Sturgis and we waited about 2.25 hours to get out.  

Glad to get back.  Boiled the turkey soup for 15-20 minutes, then went back out to the post office to get our mail and here I am at Libry.

Love, love, love the new house.  Doggies love it too.  One of my dogs, Skippy, needs medical attn.  Needs to be wormed, I think.  

Got a letter from Doris S. today.  Paul's sister is also named Doris.  

Glad to be on the computer again for a while.  If I want to use the computer on the weekend, will have to use the one up in Portage, Sat. or Sunday.

new house closing

Seems as though October 21st will never get here.  October 20th is our closing date.  I have truck all reserved for 20th.  $130.00 @ day, U-Haul.

Am praying for 5 helpers on each end of journey, Portage and C-ville, to help with loading and unloading.

The elections are soooo embarrassing.  Hold your nose and vote.

We are done repairing the inside of the new house for now.  The appraisal reading or crunched numbers will be revealed on Monday, the 10th of October.  I wonder if Columbus day will screw that one up, will the bank be even open?  Oy vay, wait until TUES????  YES indeedy.

Many blessings.  I am at Library.  I ate cheese sticks and a small can of chicken salad for lunch.

Next week is KIA Pastel class from 12-4.  YIPEE.  Then I will no doubt launch into panic mode to move.

Moving 2016

Paul & i are moving three weeks from now, after closing of our house.in st joe county, mich.

Kitchen 

Tablet, Late Sept.

I bought a tablet.  It was not a cheapie.  It was a Samsung 169.00 Galaxy E.  I bought a box to surround it (60), and extended warranty, about 300 out the door.  It works well with my Metro PCS phone. I use the hotspot on my phone and can hook up with tablet. I let Bestbuy guy sync it before I left the store, also he put my tablet into the survivor box.  (funny:  I said to the salesguy "Oh those are the otterboxes you can drive over", he said "PLEAAASE, don't drive over yours!!!"

Sept 16

It's a busy month.  Have a lot going. I am at the Library now.  Did Bank St. Mkt. Will be doing Wellness Fair in Kalamazoo at Bronson Park on Thursday the 15th.  Will be doing Jay's Auction on the 17th.  The mosquitoes are finally abating, it's down to 57 degrees at night, still warm, 77 in day. 

Took Paul to Dr. today.  Need to get him in to DDS she said, the Dr. said.  Paul had a medical issue last Fri the 2nd, we went to the Hosp for tests 4 hours, following up in about a month at Neurologist office, soon. Also fasting bloodwork coming up. 

Will still be showing artwork at Library in Portage in May/June 2017, Lord willing.

My friend Pam is moving soon, if only temporarily, she has friends staying in her apt.  also.

Some big changes on horizon.  My brother is doing better, on new medication, probably for diabetes, insulin dependent.

Labor Day at Bank Street

On September 5, 2016, Lord Willing, I will be selling cards at Bank Street Mkt. in Kalamazoo, downtown by Washington Square Library, behind there.

On Sept. 13, 11-3p, I will be selling cards thru Recovery Center.

On Sept. 17, I'll be selling cards at Jay's Auction.

Last time I sold cards at Bank Street Mkt, I sold roughly 17.00 worth of cards, and maybe one coaster.

Sale at the Sal, Aug 6, 16

Tomorrow I will be selling calligraphy and one stroke painted cards at the Salvation Army on Burdick in Kalamazoo, MI, 9a to 3p.  Sat. Aug 6, 2016.  I have a lot of cards to sell.

Van

The van stinks, literally, it has 3 motors, gasoline powered, in it.

I was bummed out about  a seminar I went to yesterday which made me feel bad about myself since I don't have $200.00 for the "camp" that is 3 days, where I can learn how to make money with OPM or other people's money.

I'm over my poor self esteem.

Pam is sick a lot.  So is Regina.  All I can do is detach and keep busy.  Leah wants us to come down and see her.  That's an option.  If only Paul would trust Stephen to stay out and away from his engines, I could empty the van and fumigate it and use it, and store Paul's engines in the workshed at H's.

it is 11:00 and the mail has come.  I have to buy 4 stamps and send letters.  I could hand-deliver an un-stamped letter to Leah in person.  actually 2 letters.

Meg died

My sister, Meg, died suddenly, on the operating table, well, 24 hours afterward.  She had 4 cardiac arrests on operating table.  Kidneys shut.  She died 24 hours later.  Surgery was to tie off a couple of blood vessels in her stomach that were bleeding.
Meg's memorial service is 5-7-16 in Orlando, FL.  I will be flying down the 5th, returning the 8th. I wrote a poem for Meg.

Other that that, my eyelid seems a bit less swollen, after the steroid injection I received last week from the ophthalmologist.

Paul found a junk lawnmower and resurrected it. Paul mowed the apt. front lawn with it.  He wants to store the mower in the van, along with the go-kart.  Not cool in my book. 

UPDATE , UPDATE 6-8-2016

I was graciously allowed to store some stuff at Leah and Tobie's, which I did.  about a month ago.  Paul stored the go kart there.  But he kept the motor and found another snow blower for 10.00, which I negotiated for him.  I am SUCH A SPINELESS SUCKER FOR my husband.  So I let him store THAT in the van.  I am always feeling sorry for him because he has "nothing to do", and sits on front porch constantly, when he is not fixing motors.

so,, there are 3 motors in van, the snowblower motor (10 HP), the original snowblower motor Paul had attached to the air compressor to make it gas-powered.  also the motor which I bought Paul with my save-a-date job calligraphy money, 99.00, at Harbor Freight (109 with tax, i think), and so the van stinks of gas.  BUMMER.  my fault, right?  Isn't everything my fault around here?

Shingles update

My eye is compromised by shingles, it seems like permanently, but I am clinging to the promises of God.  Praying for complete healing  Am trusting the Lord to help me accommodate and compensate for any deficits I have due to eyelid often wanting to close. 

Buster the dog

Buster the Dog is packing up and moving back to Wilma's, Aunt Wilma's, my friend's dog.  He could care less about herding, and wanted to run around all the time, he's a hunting dog.  I wrote a poem about him and sent it to Sarah H. and James and to Leah, my Amish friends in Mendon.  It was a funny but true poem. 

There is a bad poetry reading night at Portage Library . I plan to participate and read the Buster Saga poem. 

Toby, the dad, thought the poem was funny, but Leah seemed irritated. 

Am suffering from and healing from shingles of eye, forehead, scalp, side of nose.  Still not completely out of woods.  Am driving when its not busy out or sunny. Plan on going to GFS and getting yogurt as soon as I get out of Library . I'm on Gabepetin (Neurontin) 300 mg for nerve pain.

I took a nice nap this afternoon 1-2:30, and slept.

Came to Library 3:30 or so.
